Oskar Glowacki

Postdoctoral Scholar

Polish oceanographer and geophysicist who joined the IMT lab as a Postdoc. His current research aims to quantify ice loss from tidewater glaciers using ambient noise oceanography and other techniques. Oskar is mostly interested in studying underwater sounds generated by spectacular ice breakups at the glacier-ocean interface, called calving events.  He has several years of experience in conducting field work in the Arctic, including measurements from Zodiac and dives in cold glacial bays.
